An elegant necklace featuring a crescent moon pendant on a simple chain.

The crescent moon is associated with Islam and regarded as its symbol. The new crescent moon marks the beginning of Ramadan.  The crescent and star symbol became the symbol of the Ottoman empire and so became a symbol also for Islam as a whole, being used widely to decorate mosques and minarets.
