One electronically tested platinum lady's hand made antique diamond brooch with a polished finish. The Diamond set "Bow/Ribbon" brooch is Circa 1901-1910, the Edwardian Period. The piece has been XRF tested to be .800 Platinum for the main body and 14Kt Yellow gold for the pin, hinge and clasp. The clasp is an early flat scroll closure with a fold down latch.The brooch measures 51.75 mm X 16.49 mm on the widest side. The piece is designed as a double row ribbon tied as a Bow Tie would be tied. Each outer row of the ribbon is set with Old Mine Cut Diamonds, 80 total in total, with hand bent and applied flat wire work. The Diamond set outer rows have hand cut mille' grain detailing along the edges. The outer edges have a hand applied gallery rim with applied circle spacers. Condition is excellent.
